After Tim Cook tease on Twitter AirPods receive an update

Tim Cook this morning teased on Twitter an image of him drawing AirPods on a new iPad mini.

Shortly after the drawing came to life. Apple announced today updated AirPods. The popular headset now packs Hey Siri for hands free tasks, H1 chip for 50% more battery life, and wireless charging. Previous features of syncing across multiple devices still remains through an AppleID.

If you own the now previous generation AirPods do not fear. Starting today you can order the wireless charging case from Apple for $79. AirPods with the traditional case will sell for $159. The new charging case will be a $199 hit to the pocket book.

It has been a big week for Apple with this making the third silent release. Monday presented customers with new iPad options. Followed by Tuesday including new iMacs. What will the rest of the week bring? An updated iPod Touch? Could the week wrap up with the fabled AirPower?!
