Apple introduces Apple Arcade

Today Apple is reinventing games for the mobile platform. Releasing a catalog of games this summer across all devices. Apple Arcade will be released with hand picked games for television, Mac, iPad and iPhone. Apple’s collection of games will be all-you-can play, no ads or ad tracking, additional purchases, and respects user privacy.

Apple’s collection of games in the AppStore tops over 300,000. It has created addicting time killers that have become pop culture icons. Though with games truly becoming an art form their often higher price tags reduce the audience. Apple Arcade will be a subscription service that will change that. They will be able to be played on the go requiring no external internet connection like streaming services. Games will also sync across devices seamlessly. From Apple’s site they will have games created by Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and more.

This fall Apple Arcade will be released via an update in more than 150 countries. It will be a new tab inside the AppStore from iOS, macOS, and tvOS.
