Apple Quietly Changes Keyboard with 8-Core MacBook Pro

Without presentation Apple today increased the specs of the MacBook Pro. The top tier Apple laptop now comes with two versions, 6-Core and 8-Core 8th and 9th Gen Intel processors. Though before specs are discussed let’s talk about the most requested feature change. The new MacBook Pro keyboard is made with new materials in the butterfly keys.

This update will bring the MacBook Pro to the fourth version of new keyboard. Dirt has been a large factor in the need for repairs to fix the non working buttons. Apple has even increased support for in store repairs if you have been effected. The new version will be both on 13” and 15” versions.

Back to the updated hardware inside the MacBook Pro. Apple’s release shows twice the performance as a four core unit and 40% faster than the previous 6-Core. This translates into:

  • Music producers can play back massive multi-track projects with up to two times more Alchemy plug-ins in Logic Pro X.
  • 3D designers can render scenes up to two times faster in Maya Arnold.
  • Photographers can apply complex edits and filters up to 75 percent faster in Photoshop.
  • Developers can compile code up to 65 percent faster in Xcode.
  • Scientists and researchers can compute complex fluid dynamics simulations up to 50 percent faster in TetrUSS.
  • Video editors can edit up to 11 simultaneous multicam streams of 4K video in Final Cut Pro X.

The pricing $1,799 and $2,399 for base versions of 13” and 15”. Improvements in speed are always welcome do not get me wrong. Though if the keyboard does not work then the rest stops there. More information in the Apple release below.
