Last week the highly rumored iPhone was released with leaked images provided by 9to5Mac.
Labor Day finished off with renderings of the new iPad Pro 12.9″ version. The Twitter account @OnLeaks has shared images to MySmartPlace on what the iPad could look like. Though they are not 100% confident if this is the actual product, unlike 9to5Mac was last week.
The new iPad is showing off it’s new lack of a home button with much thinner bezels as predicted. This would cause it to switch to FaceID like the current iPhone X uses. The front camera would also then be getting TrueDepth for Animoji’s and depth of field. Bottom of the device follows iPhone’s pattern with no headphone jack included. It does keep the four speaker design with one at each corner. The dimensions are estimated at 11.047×8.4×0.23 inches (280.6x215x5.85mm) on the over all size.
The Smart Connecter which was first used on the original iPad Pro has been moved to the back. This may hold the device in the landscape position to allow for the FaceID camera to function.
I like the squared corners of the design which allow for it to be a throw back to the original iPad. The smart connector in landscape is an interesting choice though. I am afraid it will cause the iPad Pro to be to heavy on it’s top end when using the keyboard.
We will see in September 12th at the Steve Jobs Theatre together. Follow on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for more updates.
