Red shows off the Hydrogen One specs

The Red Hydrogen One a phone that has been talked about for a very long time. Yet, it has been nearly impossible to see one in real life. The high end camera maker’s first smartphone has had setbacks. Red has found out the hard way that Titanium is a difficult metal to deal with. They are currently offering an aluminum version to appease early adopters.

Though today Director Phil Holland posted an image on Instagram giving away some details. His post was an infographic of all things spilling the information.

The big draw will be another attempt at a 3D screen. Hydrogen One will have a 2560×1440 LCD screen that is 5.7″ with H4V for holographic images. It can take those photos to display and share with two 12.3 MP stereo cameras with a LED flash. The front facing cameras are also stereo for 3D at 8MP. You will have 128GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. It hold 6GB of RAM. The phone is powered with a huge 4500mah battery.

The design is definitely unique having ergonomic grips on the outside and being made of either aluminum or titanium construction. The bottom back will have a pogo connector to allow for mods coming for feature expansions.

Standard smartphone equipment is there also: 3.5mm headphone jack, Gorilla Glass screen, USB-C port, fingerprint scanner

The Red Hydrogen is definitely a niche device. Are you wanting to buy one?
