Eggy - 10/30/22 - Charleston, SC
More new Eggy today! And some Nightmare Before Christmas teases in Buying Time.
This is Halloween. This is Halloween. 🎃
Very excited to hear these new Elton John covers. 🍳
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story Involved ‘Absolutely No Research on Al’s Actual Life,’ Director Says
Very fitting that the Weird Al movie is a parody of biopics.
Tonight on I saw it so now you have to as well.
Black Sabbath parodies (?) covers (?) in base on McDonalds.
It’s a mood in Casa De Mel.
Today’s mood.
Okay a total impulse buy tonight picking up dinner but I had to have it!
Why not? No one’s home but me today.
Everywhere!
Fitting
Look Drift gets some heat because it’s often a slow Encore. Though I think it gets missed out on for its lyrics.
Eggy Love
Dang! @umphreysmcgee comes out swinging for Dayville Monarchy’s time out of the gate.

Album of the Day 🎵 🎸: Phish - Mansfield, MA - 7/14/22
The boys are back in town. Time for summer tour! I hope if you do go be safe out there!
Refreshing to hear a Kimble this morning from last night’s @umphreysmcgee set. Love this song!
Excited for this one! 🍳
Album of the Day 🎵 🎸: Umphrey’s McGee - Asking For A Friend
It has been awhile since I have made a post like this. Or many in fact, I have been busier than normal it seems…maybe just nothing to say. Though I am back to say this. Take an hour to listen to this new album from Umphrey’s McGee.
They teased around five songs before it’s July 1st release, though the other nine new songs are just as top notch.
Two that stick out: Hiccups and Always October
I cannot wait to see how they take the changes over to the stage.
Listen to New Wings on 6/18/2022 at Red Rocks as the set 2 opener. Then the next night in Vail you can get I Don’t Know What I Want and So Much set 1.
Enjoy!
Album of the Day 🎵 🎸: Kasvot Växt - í rokk
Okay, it’s really Phish. BUT IMO one of the best halloween cover costumes done. (Outside 10/31/96 for The Talking Heads - Remain in the Light)
Fun listen too. Turtles in the Clouds. Say it to me S.A.N.T.O.S too the list.
Album of the Day 🎵 🎸: Eggy - Watercolor Days
When you listen to a band who’s main avenue for listening is live and on stage a studio album can give you a different perspective. Also it is a great way if you are new to a band to learn their music.
Yes, of course that makes sense right? The largest complaint I hear with improv/jam bands is that it can be hard to know what is a jam versus the actual song. Studio releases are the best way to learn those differences. So if you want to dip into a Phish, Grateful Dead, Umphrey’s McGee or Eggy start there.
Album of the Day 🎵: Summer Concert Season
This was a big, happy weekend for Summer Concert Season
I have a lot to get caught up on!
Album on the Day 🎵: Eggy - The Nashville Tapes
Album of the day? Maybe today is EP of the day.
Released in physical form as a cassette it features two songs: Broken Bluff and Evergreen.
Always great to hear a live band make a formal recording of a song polished.
Album of the Day 🎵: Grateful Dead - Road Trips Vol 3 No 3 - Filmore East 5/15/1970
Look. It’s a rainy day. It’s been a rough day. It calls for an afternoon of acoustic Dead. Not much else can be said.
Album of the Day 🎵: Eggy - Domefest Thornville, OH 5.20.22
New Eggy for Tuesday
Album of the Day 🎵: Andy Frasco and the U.N. - wash, rinse, repeat
Happy Monday! Today needed a little pick up to get into the week. Andy Frasco has energy even when it’s a serious song like Dancin’ Around My Grave.
Album of the Day 🎵: Yacht Rock Playlist
Is this an album? No. What it is though is a smooth, light rock way to end your week! A collection I made of some favorites.
See: Breezin’ and Use Me
Album of the Day 🎵: Post Malone - Hollywood is Bleeding
After re-watching Post Malone’s performance from SNL this week inspired me to dig back in with this today.
(See it’s not all jambands. 😎)
Album of the Day 🎵: Grateful Dead - Crimson, White & Indigo (July 7, 1989, JFK Stadium, Philadelphia)
Look, I know what you’re saying. This kid only listens to the Dead. Kinda right. Though Spring/Summer is always my Dead phase. Something about being outside, friends and memories causes it to happen.
Though with that said I ❤️ some Brent Myland vocals and keys. Can tell they are having fun at this show. (See Iko Iko.)
Love when Umphrey’s McGee reworks a song. This version of Cut the Cable is no exception.
